The dog will be transported to the Woodbridge Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center at 195 Woodbridge Avenue in Sewaren for safekeeping, according to police. The department did not provide information about how long the dog had been missing or where its owner may live.

If the owner is not immediately located, the dog will be transported from East Brunswick to the Woodbridge Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center in Sewaren, police said.

Police encouraged residents to circulate the alert so the animal’s family has a better chance of seeing it.
