CAMDEN, N.J. — A 15-year-old Trenton boy has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 28-year-old man earlier this month in Camden, authorities said.
The juvenile was arrested Aug. 22 and charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police were called to Cooper University Hospital around 2:53 a.m. Aug. 1 after stabbing victim Davinne Evans walked to the hospital and collapsed outside its parking garage.
Evans, of Camden, was pronounced dead around 3:49 a.m. Officers later located a crime scene near Broadway and Stevens Street.

Detectives determined during the investigation that the teenager was responsible for the fatal stabbing, prosecutors said. Authorities did not release additional details about what allegedly led to the stabbing.
