EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – East Brunswick Police are trying to locate the owner of a dog found Saturday in the area of 234 Old Stage Road.
The department shared a photograph of the dog Saturday afternoon and asked residents to spread the word. The dog appears alert and was photographed on a red leash after being found by authorities.

Police Ask Owner to Come Forward
“A dog has been found in the area of 234 Old Stage Road,” the East Brunswick Police Department said in its public notice.
Police did not provide information about how long the dog may have been missing or where it was originally coming from before being found.
Anyone who recognizes the dog or believes it may be their missing pet should contact the department directly for instructions on reclaiming the animal.

Dog Will Be Taken to Woodbridge Animal Shelter
If the owner is not immediately located, police said the dog will be transported from East Brunswick to the Woodbridge Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center for safekeeping.
The shelter is located at 195 Woodbridge Avenue in Sewaren.
Police are encouraging residents in the Old Stage Road area and elsewhere in Middlesex County to share the dog’s photograph in hopes that someone recognizes it.
