Running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the farm’s Chapel Heights Road location, the one-day event combines fresh-picked apples, local food vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly attractions, making it one of the first major autumn festivals of the season in South Jersey.

Food, apples, and fall traditions

Festivalgoers can explore “Food Truck Alley,” where a lineup of local vendors will serve everything from savory comfort food to sweet desserts. Organizers say the event is designed to offer something for every appetite while showcasing a variety of regional food trucks.

Guests can also climb aboard a hayride to the orchard for pick-your-own apples. Apple-picking reservations are required and must be booked in advance through Duffield’s Farm website for the Sept. 12 festival date.

Family-friendly fun throughout the day

Children can enjoy pony rides and face painting, with both attractions available for an additional fee. Live music from local performers will provide entertainment throughout the afternoon, adding to the festival atmosphere.

The event encourages families to spend the day exploring the farm, enjoying seasonal treats, and taking part in one of New Jersey’s favorite fall traditions.

As cooler weather begins to settle across the region, events like Duffield’s festival mark the unofficial start of apple-picking season and provide a boost for local farms and small businesses that welcome thousands of visitors each autumn.

The Fall Apple & Food Truck Festival takes place Saturday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Duffield’s Farm, 280 Chapel Heights Road in Sewell. Additional information and apple-picking registration are available at duffieldsfarm.com.
