COLUMBUS, OH – A man was shot in the head while he slept early Sunday morning police here say. According to the CPD, at 8:37am, Columbus Police Patrol officers were dispatched to 2346 Cleveland Ave.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim, 21-year-old Salvatore Purcell, suffering from gunshot wounds to his right arm and right jaw.
Purnell stated he was sleeping inside of his home when he was shot. He didn’t provide any other details surrounding the shooting. Purnell was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
