Greenbelt police raid home suspected of being used to house illegal drug operation

Greenbelt City, MD.– the Greenbelt Police Department descended upon her home on Cherrywood Lane after reports of alleged drug activity at the residence.

On Sunday, at approximately 7:11 p.m., Greenbelt police officers responded to reports of drug activity in the 5700 block of Cherrywood Ln.

“After a field investigation, officers located over $1,500 cash and approximately 160 grams of marijuana, recovered a stolen handgun, and made 4 arrests. 22-year-old Andy Florentino, of Greenbelt, MD, was arrested on drug and firearm related charges. Three additional adult males were arrested on drug related charges,” police said.

The Greenbelt Police Department credited residents for alerting police of illegal activity taking place in the home.
