The Alexandria Police Department is investigating after shots were fired early Saturday morning. Police responded with a heavy presence this morning to the 300 block of East Braddock Avenue. A police helicopter was deployed to assist in the investigation.
At this time, the APD has not released any information and is advising the public to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
No reports of injuries have been made.
