CAMBRIDGE, MD – On Saturday, around 8:21 pm, CPD officers were alerted to a “Shot Spotter” alert for a single gunshot on the 700 block of Academy St. Upon arrival, officers found a 29-year-old Hispanic male from Cambridge, who had been shot in the arm. The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester for non-life-threatening injuries.

Through an investigation and information obtained from the victim, it was determined that three male juveniles approached him, all dressed in black with face masks on and appearing to range from 13-16 years old.

The victim reported that one of the juveniles brandished a handgun and shot him. At this time, no arrests have been made.

The victim also stated that the three suspects were part of the same group involved in the robbery that occurred on Friday. The investigation is ongoing and CPD asks witnesses to contact them at 410-228-3333. Witnesses can remain anonymous.
