WASHINGTON, D.C. – Early Friday morning a 32-year-old man was shot and killed in Northeast D.C. The D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the this homicide.

Just after midnight, officers arrived at the 1500 Block of 19th Street to investigate a report of a shooting. Officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his head and hip. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

32-year-old Dajuan Blakney, of D.C. was identified as the victim.
