WARETOWN, NJ – The Ocean Township Police Department Community Policing Unit organized a successful food drive at the Greenbriar Clubhouse on May 7th. The police officers were thrilled with the response they received from the Greenbriar residents, who donated generously to the cause. All of the donated food items were sent to the food pantries at St. Stephen’s and Waretown United Methodist churches.
Due to the success of this food drive, the Community Policing Unit has planned a second event on May 23rd from 4pm to 8pm at the Waretown Fire Department’s back parking lot. Like the previous drive, this event aims to support local food pantries.
The Ocean Township Police Department expressed their gratitude for the community’s support and encouraged everyone to come out and participate in the upcoming food drive.
