Newark Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Theft Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is appealing to the public for help identifying a suspect involved in a theft incident at the Hahne & Co. building on Halsey Street on April 30, 2023.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect taking a computer bag containing a laptop and personal items at approximately 5:30 p.m. The Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) is open for anyone with relevant information. All tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
