Utica man charged for kidnapping female relative for three days

UTICA, NY – On Friday, at about 4:20 p.m., Utica Police units responded to an address on the 1200 block of Taylor Ave. A concerned family member had reported that a male was forcibly keeping a female relative in the residence for three days.

Upon arrival, officers took into custody Jack Carter, 29, of Utica. They found a quantity of suspected crack cocaine during his search. Charges against Carter include criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third, fifth, and seventh degrees, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
