Detectives release photos of smash and grab thieves targeting Queens jewelry stores

NEW YORK, NY – After multiple break-ins at Queens jewelry stores over the past two months, police have a lead. Today, the NYPD released photos of two while males wanted in connection with at least seven smash and grab robberies.

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating unidentified individuals connected to a series of burglaries that occurred in the 102nd and 109th Precincts of Queens.

On Friday, May 12, at approximately 11:20 PM, two individuals broke into 8401 94th Street by damaging the front door. Once inside, they stole jewelry valued at approximately $19,000. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

On Tuesday, May 16,, at around 6:00 PM, two individuals entered 8517 96th Street by breaking the front door. They took $4,800 in USC currency before fleeing in an unknown direction.

On Thursday, June 1, at approximately 12:30 PM, two individuals entered 8604 96th Street through a window. Inside, they stole jewelry worth $4,800, along with a wallet and a purse. The suspects fled southbound on 96th Street in a gray SUV.

On Friday, June 2, at around 8:41 PM, two individuals gained entry to 8510 94th Street through a window. Once inside, they stole jewelry valued at $15,500, as well as two purses. The suspects then fled on foot, heading southbound on 94th Street.

On Saturday, May 27, at approximately 3:15 PM, two individuals entered 134-25 Franklin Avenue through a window accessed from the fire escape. They took jewelry worth $8,000, a US passport, an Ecuadorian passport, and $5,000 in cash. The suspects then left the scene in an unknown direction.

On Friday, May 12, at around 3:00 PM, two individuals entered 42-23 Saull Street through a window. Inside, they stole jewelry valued at $7,400 and $700 in USC currency. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

On Saturday, May 27, at approximately 1:30 PM, two individuals entered 134-25 Franklin Avenue through a window from the fire escape. They stole jewelry worth $1,450 and one wallet before leaving the scene in an unknown direction.
