NEW CASTLE, DE – On Thursday morning, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor trailer.
The incident occurred around 2:02 a.m. on I-95 northbound near State Route 141.
The pedestrian, a 59-year-old man from Wilmington, was trying to cross the interstate when he was hit by the tractor trailer, which failed to stop post-collision.
The man was declared dead at the scene. His identity is being kept confidential until his family is informed. Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating.
