DURHAM, NC – A shooting incident on Monday morning in the 1000 block of Worth Street has left one woman dead and another in critical condition.
At around 7:15 a.m., Durham Police officers were alerted to a reported gunshot wound in the area. Responding to the call, officers discovered two women who had sustained gunshot injuries.
Emergency medical services were dispatched, and both victims were transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
One of the women passed away shortly after. Based on initial findings, this event appears to be an isolated incident. As of now, the investigation remains ongoing.
