Queens Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Including Attempted Murder and Sexual Assault

QUEENS, NY –The NYPD has arrested 40-year-old Shahab Usman of Queens, on multiple charges, including attempted murder, rape, and robbery.

The arrest, made on Tuesday, December 5, at around midnight, occurred within the 102 Precinct’s jurisdiction.

Usman faces a range of serious charges, encompassing attempted murder, rape, criminal sexual acts, sex abuse, multiple counts of robbery and assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing.

The arrest is linked to several incidents, including a recent attack at a spa on Jamaica Avenue. On Monday, December 4, an armed Usman allegedly forced a female victim to a private room, sexually assaulted her, and robbed her and two other women before fleeing.

This case is a part of the ongoing Queens robbery pattern investigation with Usman being implicated in at least four incidents.
