Seaford Woman Arrested on Felony Drug Charges by Sussex County Task Force

SUSSEX COUNTY, DE – Delaware State Police arrested 35-year-old Katie Dilworth from Seaford for multiple drug-related charges.

The incident occurred Last Wednesday, around 9:35 p.m. Members of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, while on patrol in Laurel, noticed a white Ford Explorer heading south on Sussex Highway. The vehicle, driven by Dilworth, made a turn onto 4th Street without signaling. Police stopped the car on West 6th Street.

Upon contact, detectives identified Dilworth as the driver, along with two children in the vehicle. Detectives observed a clear plastic bag between Dilworth’s legs containing a white powdery substance, presumed to be cocaine. When asked to exit the vehicle, Dilworth attempted to conceal the bag. A subsequent search led to the discovery of approximately 6.69 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 1.66 grams of suspected powder cocaine, and two Alprazolam pills.

Dilworth was detained without incident and transported to Troop 4, where she faced charges.
