Pedestrian Struck, Veirs Mill Road Closed in Rockville

ROCKVILLE, MD – A pedestrian-involved collision at Veirs Mill Road and Atlantic Ave has led to the closure of both eastbound and westbound traffic lanes. The Rockville City Police Department reported the incident, which occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. today.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following the collision. The condition of the pedestrian has not been disclosed, and details regarding the cause of the incident are currently under investigation.

Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area and to seek alternate routes. The duration of the road closure is not yet known, as investigators work at the scene to determine the factors contributing to the collision.
