Mattress Warehouse Worker Assaulted and Locked in Closet During Armed Robbery

EVESHAM, NJ – The Evesham Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Mattress Warehouse located on 46 W. Route 70. The incident, which took place on December 27 at around 6:30 PM, involved a violent confrontation with a store employee.

An unidentified male suspect, described as wearing all black and a face-covering, entered the Mattress Warehouse and demanded money. The suspect, reportedly armed with a black weapon believed to be a knife, then assaulted the store employee. After the attack, the suspect locked the victim inside a closet and fled the scene.

The employee, who managed to free themselves from the closet, promptly alerted the police. Suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, the victim was transported to Virtua Hospital for medical attention.
