Man Found Shot Dead Inside Car in Upper Manhattan

MANHATTAN, NY – A 39-year-old man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest in a parked vehicle on Sunday, January 7. The incident occurred around 6:20 PM at 619 West 135th Street. Police from the 30th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious and unresponsive male.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim seated in the front driver seat of the vehicle. He was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced deceased.

The victim’s identity is being withheld until his family is notified. No arrests have been made, and the investigation into the shooting continues.
