BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – In an unexpected twist of fortune, a Baltimore woman caring for her sick husband experienced a significant change in luck when she won a $146,425 jackpot in the FAST PLAY Wild Bonus X10 game on January 14th.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased her winning $10 ticket at Wise Carroll Mart, located at 220 Wise Avenue in Dundalk. A regular visitor to the store for gas and lottery tickets, she had set aside $20 for lottery games that day. Initially planning to buy scratch-offs, she instead opted for FAST PLAY tickets when none of the scratch-offs caught her eye.

One of her purchases, the $10 Wild Bonus X10 game, turned out to be the jackpot winner. This game features a progressive jackpot starting at $100,000, increasing with each ticket sale until someone wins. The game currently offers 27 more progressive jackpots, along with prizes of $50,000 and $10,000.

Upon checking her ticket with the Maryland Lottery app, the winner was incredulous even after seeing the winning number 32 and “Progressive Jackpot” on her ticket. It wasn’t until she scanned the ticket at the store’s ticket checker that she believed her good fortune, winning the progressive jackpot of $146,425.

The semi-retired city resident plans to use her windfall to pay bills and enhance her savings. She shared the exciting news with her husband and brother-in-law shortly after discovering her win.

Wise Carroll Mart, the retailer of the lucky ticket, will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a progressive jackpot-winning FAST PLAY ticket valued at over $100,000.
