Do You Know Him? NYPD Seeking to Identify Suspect in Violent Subway Attack

Queens, NY – The New York City Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in locating a suspect involved in a violent assault at the Queensboro Plaza subway station.

On Saturday, just before 1:00 AM, a 31-year-old man fell victim to an unprovoked attack while inside the subway station. The assailant, wielding a metal pipe, struck the victim multiple times in the head, causing serious lacerations. Following the assault, the suspect fled the scene on foot, disappearing into the night.

Emergency Medical Services responded swiftly, transporting the injured man to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he is currently in stable condition, recovering from his wounds.

The suspect is described as a male between 40 to 50 years of age, with a dark complexion, approximately 5’ 9” tall, sporting a medium build and a beard. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a skull cap, a gray hooded jacket, dark gray jeans, and tan work boots.

The NYPD’s 108 Precinct and Transit District 20 are spearheading the investigation and urge anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts or identity to come forward.
