Fatal Pedestrian Collision Under Investigation in Prince George’s County

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal pedestrian collision. The identity of the deceased pedestrian, an adult female, will be disclosed once her family has been located and notified.

The incident occurred on March 22, 2024, around 4:50 am, in the 3600 block of Powder Mill Road. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the pedestrian in the roadway, suffering from trauma. Unfortunately, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the involved driver struck the pedestrian in the eastbound lanes of Powder Mill Road. The driver remained at the scene and was uninjured.
