Search Underway for Suspect in D.C. Sexual Assault

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit is requesting the public’s help to identify and locate a man accused of third-degree sexual abuse. The assault occurred in the 1100 block of 3rd Street, Northeast, early Wednesday morning.

The incident took place at approximately 5:13 AM, when the suspect forcibly pushed the victim against a wall and engaged in non-consensual sexual contact before fleeing the scene. The suspect is described as a male, between 5’10” and 6’0” tall, with a thin build. He was last observed wearing a black hoodie with the hood drawn tight around his face, gray pants, and knitted mittens.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident to refrain from intervening and instead contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
