The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. in the 1500 block of Benning Road NE. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, multiple suspects forcibly entered the home while brandishing firearms and demanded property. During the burglary, they took three French bulldog puppies before leaving the scene.

Police have not said whether the suspects knew the victims or if the residence was specifically targeted for the dogs, which are a high-value breed often targeted in thefts. The department is asking for public assistance in locating the stolen puppies and identifying those responsible.
