Baltimore man shot multiple times walks into hospital

Man shot in foot and shin in Central District walk-in hospital case

BALTIMORE, MD – A 26-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his foot and shin walked into a local hospital late Monday night, prompting an investigation into a shooting that took place in East Baltimore’s Central District.

At approximately 10:55 p.m. on January 12, Central District patrol officers were dispatched to the hospital after receiving a report of a walk-in shooting victim. The man had sustained a gunshot wound to the top of his foot and another injury to his shin. Both injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Officers determined that the shooting occurred in the 200 block of North Broadway, a location from which a separate call for a shooting had been received earlier that night.

Central District Detectives have taken over the investigation. No information about possible suspects or motive has been released.
