Baltimore Police Foot Patrol Officers Arrest Suspect for Illegal Handgun

In the early hours of Thursday at around 3:18 AM, Baltimore Police officers, while on a foot patrol in the Unit of Light Street, were alerted to a potentially armed individual in the vicinity. The alert came from fellow officers monitoring Citywatch cameras, who provided a description of the suspect.

The police subsequently located a male matching the suspect’s description on the West Lombard Street unit block. After investigating, officers arrested the 23-year-old man and confiscated a Taurus 9 mm handgun, which was identified as stolen property from Atlanta, GA.

The suspect has been taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and is facing charges related to the firearm possession.
