BRONX, NY – Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced the sentencing of Harry Behlin, a 50-year-old Bronx resident, to 48 years to life in prison for a double homicide committed in 2019. The sentencing comes after Behlin was found guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The incident, which occurred on August 11, 2019, involved the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Kevin Dillard and 17-year-old Arnelle Branch near the Parkside Houses on White Plains Road. The altercation led to Behlin shooting Dillard in the neck and Branch multiple times. Both victims were transported to New York City Health + Hospitals Jacobi, where they succumbed to their injuries.

Behlin, who was apprehended in April 2020, was on parole at the time of the shooting for a 2014 drug sale conviction and had previously served 10 years in prison for attempted murder. He was sentenced by Bronx Supreme Court Justice Steven Hornstein to two consecutive sentences of 24 years to life for murder and manslaughter, with an additional concurrent 15-year sentence for weapon possession.
