Celebrate Stars and Stripes fireworks to light up Raritan Bay on Tuesday

PERTH AMBOY, N.J. — Thousands are expected to gather along the Raritan Bay waterfront on Tuesday for the annual “Celebrate our Stars & Stripes” concert and fireworks show, set to begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue through the evening.

The event will culminate in a 25-minute fireworks display launched over the bay, featuring more than 3,000 shells and special effects. The show, produced by Garden State Fireworks, will include glittering, strobe, and whistling effects in a variety of colors, all synchronized to a patriotic musical soundtrack.

Spectators will have prime viewing spots from Sadowski Parkway in Perth Amboy and the Raritan Bay Waterfront Park in South Amboy. Both locations will also host live music and entertainment beginning at 3 p.m., with food trucks and arts and crafts vendors set up along the waterfront areas.

“The best views to enjoy the Celebrate Stars & Stripes Fireworks Spectacular Show will be from Sadowski Parkway in Perth Amboy [and] the Raritan Bay Waterfront Park in South Amboy,” event organizers announced.

The celebration is free and open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks will be rescheduled for Wednesday, July 3.

Public access and amenities

The Perth Amboy waterfront area, located at Sadowski Parkway and High Street, will serve as a central gathering point for attendees. Authorities are advising visitors to arrive early to secure parking and viewing space. Local officials will coordinate crowd control and public safety with assistance from municipal police and fire departments.

No street closures have been officially announced, but traffic is expected to be heavy in the hours leading up to the fireworks. Portable restrooms and waste stations will be positioned throughout the area for convenience.

More than 3,000 shells will light up the Raritan Bay as Perth Amboy and South Amboy host their annual fireworks celebration Tuesday.
