JACKSON, NJ — A gentle, soulful-eyed pup named Coco is now available for adoption at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, where staff say she’s ready to trade her kennel for cuddles and companionship.

Coco is a 2-year-old dog, believed to be a pit bull and shepherd mix, who shows affection once she builds trust. While initially shy, she warms up quickly and is known to try climbing into a lap for attention.

She walks calmly on a leash, responds to basic commands like “sit” and “down,” and is food motivated—traits that could make training and bonding smooth for her future family.

Coco must be the only pet in the home and is recommended for households with children aged 15 or older due to her reserved nature. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations.

Coco can be met in person at 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except Monday when the shelter will be closed for Memorial Day observance.
