DAYTON, OH – Dayton Police are actively investigating a shooting that occurred on the morning of Sunday.
The incident took place around 10:19 a.m. in the 4000 block of Prescott Ave, close to North Gettysburg Ave. A man was injured, suffering a gunshot wound to his hand.
Montgomery County dispatch did not receive a 911 call related to this event. On-duty personnel stumbled upon the scene and subsequently summoned backup.
The number of individuals involved and the exact cause of the shooting remain uncertain.
The Dayton Police Department continues its inquiry into the incident, and further information will be released upon the completion of the investigation.
