Dog Found Tied and Abandoned Behind Motel in Tinton Falls

TINTON FALLS, N.J. — A female terrier mix was found abandoned and tied to a post behind the Hawthorn Suites Motel on Park Road in Tinton Falls early Friday morning, prompting a call for public assistance in identifying those responsible.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., the malnourished dog, who appeared to have recently given birth, was discovered and is now receiving veterinary care at the Monmouth County SPCA. Authorities have described the suspects as two males and one female, either white or Hispanic, who fled the scene in a mid-2000s red or maroon Toyota Corolla.
