New York Lottery players score matching prizes after winning tickets sold in Brooklyn and Deer Park

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Two lucky New York Lottery players are celebrating matching TAKE 5 jackpots after top-prize winning tickets were sold in Brooklyn and Deer Park during Saturday night’s drawing.

Lottery officials announced that two winning tickets matched all five numbers in the May 16 TAKE 5 Evening drawing.

One winning ticket worth $16,257 was sold at I & B Check Cashing, located at 2966 Avenue U in Brooklyn.

The second winning ticket, also worth $16,257, was sold at Deer Park Lucky Corner Inc., located at 863 Long Island Avenue in Deer Park.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with numbers selected from a field of one through 39.

Lottery officials said prizes from New York Lottery draw games may be claimed for up to one year from the drawing date.
