Elmont convenience store sells winning ticket worth more than $35K in New York Lottery game

ELMONT, N.Y. — One lucky New York Lottery player is holding a winning TAKE 5 ticket worth more than $35K after matching all five numbers in Friday night’s drawing.

Lottery officials announced that a top-prize winning ticket for the May 15 TAKE 5 Evening drawing was sold at BPRF LLC, located at 23601 Linden Blvd. in Elmont.

The winning ticket is worth $35,092.50.

TAKE 5 numbers are selected from a field of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

New York Lottery officials said draw game prizes may be claimed for up to one year from the drawing date.

The winner’s identity has not yet been released.
