Police investigate shooting after 16-year-old wounded on Furley Avenue
BALTIMORE, Md. — A 16-year-old boy was shot Friday afternoon in Northeast Baltimore, prompting an investigation as detectives work to identify who opened fire.
Northeast District officers responded around 4:16 p.m. to the 4300 block of Furley Avenue after reports of a shooting, according to Baltimore police.
When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.
The teen was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Northeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
