BALTIMORE, MD — A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and kidnapping after allegedly assaulting and robbing a 12-year-old boy on his way to school in Baltimore’s Eastern District.
The incident occurred on May 19 in the 2500 block of Aisquith Street. Police say the younger victim was approached by three male suspects who implied they were armed and demanded his belongings. When the boy refused, the suspects forced him into a nearby residence, assaulted him, and stole his phone and sneakers before fleeing.
Baltimore City Detectives quickly identified one of the suspects, who was already under electronic monitoring for previous offenses involving stolen vehicles and robberies.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center, where he faces charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify the other individuals involved.
