Glen Allen man wins $100K scratch off prize and plans to give back

Glen Allen, VA — A scratch-off ticket purchased at a local grocery store turned into a $100,000 win for a Henrico County man who says he already knows how he will use the money.

Timothy Crytzer bought the Virginia Lottery Set for Life ticket at the Publix located on Wyndham Forest Drive in Glen Allen. After scratching the ticket, he discovered he had won the game’s second-tier prize of $100,000.

Crytzer said he plans to donate a portion of his winnings to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a local SPCA organization.

Set for Life is one of the Virginia Lottery’s scratch-off games, offering multiple prize tiers. Lottery officials said four $100,000 prizes remain unclaimed, along with two top prizes of $6 million.

The odds of winning the top prize in the game are 1 in 816,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.7.
