GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Officer Ptl. Charles Ohrenich of the Gloucester Township Police Community Relations Bureau recently participated in the Autism New Jersey 41st Annual Autism Conference, specifically in the Autism and Law Enforcement Leadership Roundtable held in Atlantic City.

The roundtable was a concerted effort aimed at fostering autism-friendly practices within the law enforcement community across the state.

Discussions during the event delved into essential topics including autism training for law enforcement personnel, establishing special needs registries, understanding the dynamics between drivers with autism, and enhancing collaboration with families and group homes.
