Investigators are renewing their plea for answers in the unsolved killing of a 34-year-old motorsports employee who was shot multiple times shortly after arriving for work.
ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — More than a decade after a clerk was ambushed and killed at his workplace in Westmoreland County, investigators are once again asking for the public’s help in identifying the gunman responsible.
The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office has spotlighted the unsolved homicide of 34-year-old Drew Molinari as part of its effort to generate new leads and evidence in major cold cases.
On the morning of May 11, 2015, Molinari arrived for work at Minniti Motorsports, where he was employed as a clerk. The business was formerly located in the Tri-County Shopping Plaza off Route 201 near Interstate 70 in Rostraver Township.
At approximately 8:15 a.m., police said a man wearing a blue hoodie and a facial covering shot Molinari multiple times.
Investigators believe the suspect, or suspects, fled in a silver or gray 2003 Chevrolet Impala that did not have wheel covers.
No arrests have been made, and the homicide remains an active and ongoing investigation.
The Westmoreland County Detective Bureau said investigators continue to review police reports, witness interviews, evidence and tips connected to the case.
