A woman is dead and a man is recovering after gunfire erupted along a busy Baltimore corridor Tuesday night, police said.
BALTIMORE, Md. — A 38-year-old woman was killed and a 27-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday night on York Road, prompting a homicide investigation, according to Baltimore police.
Officers responded at about 10:49 p.m. to the 5200 block of York Road for reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds — a 38-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals.
Police said the woman was pronounced dead a short time later. The male victim survived and is expected to recover from his injuries.
Investigators have not released the identities of the victims or provided information about a suspect or possible motive.
