A driver crashed into a homeowner’s garage in the early morning hours and sped away, leaving investigators searching for the vehicle and the person behind the wheel.

EAST COCALICO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that damaged a residential garage in Lancaster County.

According to the East Cocalico Township Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 5:33 a.m. on June 26 in the Carriage Hill Development.

Investigators said a silver sedan drove into a resident’s driveway, struck the garage door and then fled the scene without stopping.

Police released information about the incident in hopes that someone will recognize the vehicle or provide information that could help identify the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Odenwalt of the East Cocalico Township Police Department at 717-336-1725.

Police said any information, no matter how minor it may seem, could assist the investigation.
