Local business owner forced to apologize over employee’s actions at No Kings protest as Dems call for boycott

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The angry far-left mob is complaining once again, calling for the demise of a local business. This comes after a rally, ironically dubbed “No Kings”, yet supporters of that rally now want to force their will on a longtime, local, and well-respected business.

Carl’s Fencing issued a public apology after an employee parked a company vehicle displaying a “Let’s Go Brandon” flag to the “No Kings” rally held Saturday in Toms River, prompting backlash from Democratic groups across the state, piling on to publicly shame the business.

Now, Democrats are gloating online for ‘forcing’ the business to apologize.

The company responded Monday with a statement signed by CEO Carl DelPizzo Jr., calling the behavior “deeply disturbing” and “completely contrary to our values.” The employee, whose identity has not been released, arrived at the event in a Carl’s Fencing vehicle with the political flag, which has become a coded criticism of President Biden.

“We are taking immediate disciplinary action and cooperating fully with any investigations,” the statement read from Sharon Quilter-Colucci, an administrator of the group. “We sincerely apologize to those affected and our community.”

Online posts from members of the Democratic Coalition of Ocean County suggested they pressured the company to address the issue. A Facebook post from Quilter, claiming to be part of the group stated, “WE MADE THIS HAPPEN. Our voices,” in reference to Carl’s statement.

The flag incident occurred at the “No Kings” rally, an event organized to protest what attendees described as government overreach and erosion of individual liberties. The nature of the demonstration and the presence of political symbols like the “Let’s Go Brandon” banner drew criticism from left-leaning residents and advocacy groups.

Political fallout and ongoing reaction

Despite Carl’s Fencing’s public apology, the company continues to face scrutiny on social media. Multiple users have called for boycotts, sharing images of the vehicle and demanding further accountability. Supporters of the business have pushed back, arguing that the backlash is disproportionate to the incident.

Carl’s Fencing, a long-standing local contractor in Ocean County, has not confirmed whether the employee has been terminated. The company emphasized in its statement that the individual’s actions do not reflect its organizational standards or political affiliations.

As of Tuesday, there have been no formal complaints filed with local authorities, and no legal action has been reported in connection with the incident. The Democratic Coalition of Ocean County has not issued an official press release but continues to circulate Carl’s apology through social media networks.

The “Let’s Go Brandon” slogan gained national attention in 2021 as a euphemism for a profane chant targeting President Biden. Its public display by individuals or businesses has frequently sparked political tensions in various communities.

Hundreds of local customers rallied behind the company, citing its decades of community involvement, service, and contributions, as well as its professionalism and high-quality workmanship.
