BUFFALO, N.Y. — James White, 32, from Lockport, has been sentenced to 84 months in prison for his involvement in a drug distribution conspiracy. U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. delivered the sentence following White’s conviction on charges of conspiracy to possess and distribute heroin, fentanyl, and butyryl fentanyl, as announced by U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey E. Intravatola, who prosecuted the case, detailed that from March 2017 to March 2019, White, along with Bruno Haney, II, and others, engaged in the sale of heroin and butyryl fentanyl. A critical incident tied to this conspiracy occurred on March 24, 2017, when White sold heroin to an individual known as W.S.

Tragically, on the same day as the transaction, W.S. died after ingesting the heroin purchased from White. Investigations into this incident uncovered text messages on W.S.’s phone from the evening of March 24, where W.S. had requested “a half bun” of heroin, equating to five doses, directly from White.
