Brooklyn deli sells $1,000-a-week-for-life winning CASH4LIFE ticket

BROOKLYN, NY — A lottery ticket sold in Brooklyn is now worth a guaranteed $1 million after matching the five main numbers in the January 20 CASH4LIFE drawing, awarding the game’s coveted second-tier prize of $1,000 a week for life.

According to the New York Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at El Patroson Deli, located at 1141 Washington Avenue in Brooklyn. The prize guarantees the winner a minimum of $1 million, paid as $1,000 a week for the rest of their life or in a lump sum equivalent.

CASH4LIFE drawings are held daily at approximately 9 p.m. The game involves selecting five numbers from 1 to 60 and one Cash Ball number from 1 to 4. Players who match all five numbers without the Cash Ball win the second prize — $1,000 a week for life.

All lottery draw game prizes must be claimed within one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery continues to contribute significantly to public education, reporting $3.6 billion in funding for schools across the state during fiscal year 2024–2025.
