Man found shot inside vehicle in downtown Baltimore

A man was found wounded inside a vehicle after gunfire erupted in downtown Baltimore Thursday evening, prompting an active police investigation.

BALTIMORE, Md. — A man was hospitalized after he was found suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle Thursday evening in downtown Baltimore, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

The shooting was reported at approximately 7:55 p.m. on July 9 in the 200 block of North Eutaw Street.

Responding officers located the victim inside the vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to the body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Central District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
