Western District shooting leaves man in critical condition

BALTIMORE, MD – An early morning shooting in the Western District left a man fighting for his life after he was found unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds several blocks from where officers first responded.

Around 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, patrol officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of McCulloh Street for reports of discharging. While canvassing the area, officers located an unidentified male unresponsive in the 400 block of Presstman Street.

The victim was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and was transported by medics to an area hospital. He was listed in critical but stable condition.

Detectives assigned to the Western District are leading the investigation. No information about a suspect or motive has been released.
