BALTIMORE, MD — A 41-year-old man walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm, telling police he had been shot days earlier, though he couldn’t say where or exactly when it happened.

Southern District officers were called to the hospital around 9:43 a.m. on Tuesday after staff reported a patient seeking treatment for a gunshot injury. Officers arrived and found the man being treated for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim claimed he was shot “a few days ago” but could not give investigators a location or date for the incident, leaving the circumstances of the shooting unclear. Police have not released the man’s name or any further details regarding his condition.

Southern District Shooting Detectives have taken over the investigation and are attempting to determine where and when the shooting occurred. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
