BALTIMORE, Md. – A man was fatally shot Saturday night in the 200 block of N. Payson Street, according to Baltimore police.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 8:11 p.m. following a ShotSpotter alert. Upon arrival, they found the unidentified male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify the victim.
