Man shot and killed in broad daylight on Hyden Court as homicide probe unfolds

BALTIMORE, MD — A man was gunned down Thursday morning on a quiet residential block in the city’s Southern District, sparking a full-scale homicide investigation as detectives work to track down his killer.

Officers responded to the 4100 block of Hyden Court just after 10:26 a.m. following reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.

The area was cordoned off for hours as investigators canvassed the scene for evidence and witnesses. No suspect information has been released, and the victim’s identity has not yet been disclosed pending family notification.
