Man shot near employment services building in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON, DC — A man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning after being shot near the Department of Employment Services building in Northeast Washington.

The incident occurred just before 7:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue NE. First responders discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was conscious and breathing when transported to a nearby hospital, but the extent of his injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Investigators are working to determine the events leading up to the shooting. No suspects or additional details have been released at this time.
